From The Principal's Desk

Dear Families,

As we wrap up another school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for being such an essential part of the Endeavour community. Whether you volunteered your time, attended school events, chaperoned field trips, or supported learning at home, your involvement has made a real difference.

This year has reminded us of the strength that comes from working together. Through every challenge and every celebration, our students have thrived because they are surrounded by a team—families, teachers, staff, friends  and a principal—who believe in them.

It’s a true honor to learn and grow alongside such incredible kids, caring families, and a dedicated staff.

Let’s finish the 2025-2026 school year strong!
With gratitude,

~Tamara

Honoring Pride Month

Mukilteo School District sees and welcomes students, staff and family members who identify as LGBTQIA+. Our Board Policy 3211 states, “The Board believes in fostering an educational environment that is safe and free of discrimination for all students, regardless of gender identity or gender expression or sex. To that end, the Board recognizes the importance of an inclusive approach toward transgender and gender-expansive students.” Feeling included and supported is one of the most critical elements of well-being and belonging.

We welcome ALL students, staff and families to join us as we collectively honor Pride Month 2026. Pride Month is celebrated each year throughout June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan and the ongoing efforts in the LGBTQIA+ Liberation Movements in the United States and beyond.

Lawson's Literacy Lounge

Reading over the summer is one of the most effective ways to prevent the “summer slide,” the learning loss that can occur when students are away from school. Consistent exposure to books helps children maintain and strengthen essential skills in phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Even just 15–20 minutes of reading a day can make a meaningful difference in keeping skills sharp for the fall.

But remember, summer reading doesn’t have to feel like schoolwork. Families can make it fun and engaging by reading together, visiting the library, listening to audiobooks on road trips, or choosing books tied to favorite interests like animals, sports, or adventures. The goal is to build joyful reading habits in your everyday routine.

A balance of daily reading and enjoyable family experiences helps students return to school confident, ready, and excited to learn.  Wishing you all a fantastic summer break!

Health Room Highlights

Dear Parents,
All medication kept at school must be picked up by the last day of school. Students are not permitted to transport medication home. Any medication remaining at school after the last day will be properly disposed of. This includes all prescription and non-prescription medications, inhalers, and Epi-pens. If you are unable to pick up medication by the last day of school, alternative arrangements can be made by contacting your child’s school nurse prior to the end of the school year.

Thank you,

Sarah Cossette, BSN, RN
School Nurse
