From the Principal's Desk

Dear Families,

As we step into November, I am excited to focus on our new character trait of the month: gratitude. Gratitude is the quality of being thankful, a readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. It goes beyond just saying "thank you"; it involves recognizing the good in our lives and the people who contribute to our happiness.

Cultivating gratitude in our children is essential. Research shows that practicing gratitude can lead to improved mental health, increased empathy, and stronger relationships. When children learn to appreciate the small and big things in their lives, they develop a positive mindset that can help them navigate challenges more effectively. Encouraging our kids to express gratitude not only enhances their well-being but also fosters a sense of community and connection.

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for being part of this incredible community. Your support, involvement, and dedication to our school make a significant difference in the lives of our students. Together, we create an environment where kindness and appreciation flourish, nurturing the next generation of grateful individuals.

Let’s encourage our children to practice gratitude this month—whether through thank-you notes, sharing what they are thankful for at the dinner table, or simply being mindful of the positive aspects of their lives.

Thank you for your continued partnership in making our school a wonderful place for our children to grow and thrive.

Warm regards,
Tamara

Fall Conferences

Join Us!

Family conferences will be held November 24-26th to review the progress and celebrate accomplishments your child has made this 2024-2025 school year. Remember, there is no school November 24-28th.

You will be invited by your child’s teacher to sign up for a conference time on Parent Square about one week prior, the same process as Family Engagement Conferences at the start of the year. Please note that days and times will vary from teacher to teacher, and may be posted for sign up at different times.

Please reach out to teachers with questions specific to the classroom. Any assistance with sign up needed, and all other general inquiries, may be directed to the Endeavour Office at 425-366-2800.

Honoring our Veterans

Parents, relatives and community members who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces are invited to be guests at our Veterans Day Assembly on Thursday, November 6th, 1:30pm - 2:30pm

If you would like to join us, please complete the Veterans Assembly Guest Form.

Due to space constraints, this assembly can only accommodate veterans and active military members. Thank you for your understanding.

Counselors Corner

Dear families,
During the month of October, your students have been learning about ways they can prevent and stop bullying at our school. These specific skills help make our school a safe, respectful place where everyone can learn. Students will learn how to:

  • Recognize when bullying is happening
  • Report bullying to a caring adult
  • Refuse to let bullying happen to themselves or others
  • Be a bystander who stands up and is part of the solution to bullying.

Students will learn the difference between mean, rude behavior or conflict and what constitutes bullying. Bullying is mean or hurtful behavior that keeps happening. It is unfair and one-sided. The person it is happening to has not been able to make it stop.
A poster illustrates the steps to address bullying: Recognize, Report, Refuse.
For bullying prevention to work, everyone needs to be involved and we need your help too. Get involved in making our school a safe and respectful place by letting us know if you hear about bullying at our school. Make sure your child knows to tell you or someone at school if he or she is being bullied. And give your child the clear message that it is never okay to bully others.

Picture Retake Day

If your child missed Picture Day on September 17, or would like to have their photo retaken, school picture retakes will take place Friday, November 7th. If you already ordered photos but your child wasn't at school on picture day, you don't need to do anything. Your child will have their picture taken November 7.

If your child is having retakes, please have them bring their original photo packet to school on November 7 to return to the photographers. There is no cost for retakes unless you are planning to keep the original photo packet too, in which case you will need to place another order for the new photos using the link below.

If you would like to order photos for the November 7 date, you can use this link:

If you order from the link above, a photo will be taken of your student on November 7. These orders must be made by 10pm the day BEFORE picture day.
The link above is not for the original photos that were taken September 17th. If you would like to order more of the original photos, please use the form enclosed in the photo packet you will receive this week.
If you have any questions, please email KIDS Photography at Hello@KIDSschoolPhotos.com

Arrival & Dismissal

Important Reminder!

ARRIVAL
We tell students that it is COOL to be ON TIME for SCHOOL. On time means they are in their classroom by 9:00 AM.  When students arrive at 9:00 AM the bell has rung, and they are considered tardy/late. Please help your student be on time and ready to learn each day.

If you are running late, PLEASE SLOW DOWN IN THE PARKING LOT! Speeding poses a great risk of injuring oneself and others.

DISMISSAL
All dismissal changes must go through the office. To make sure we have time to communicate the dismissal changes we ask families to call the office at least one hour prior to dismissal - this means no later than 2:25 PM Monday - Thursday and 1:10 PM on Friday.

Early pickup:
If your child has an appointment or needs to be picked up early from school, please remember to bring your photo ID with you to our office. While we know many of our families, this is an extra measure to ensure safety at school. Thank you for helping to keep our students safe!

Going home a different way:
If your child is going to be going home a different way, please call our school office at least one hour prior to dismissal. This means no later than 2:25 PM Monday - Thursday and 1:10 PM on Friday. The end of the day is very busy and this allows us to make sure that we have time to connect with teachers and students, so they are aware of changes.

Your cooperation keeps arrival and dismissal safe, smooth, and efficient for all of our elementary students. Thank you for your partnership.
