From the Principal's Desk

Dear Families,
Endeavour has been buzzing with activity this week as teachers participated in professional learning, collaborated with teammates, and spent countless hours preparing their classrooms. We love our staff, but it’s our students who bring the real joy—and we can’t wait to welcome them (and you!) back for Family Engagement Conferences next week.

Remember, the purpose of Family Engagement Conferences is for teachers to learn from you about your child—how they learn, what they value, what motivates them, and more. It’s also a great time to share how you prefer to be involved, the form and frequency of communication you prefer, and any other insights that will help us partner with you. You are your child’s first and most important teacher, and we want to learn from you.

If you haven’t signed up for a conference yet, please use the link your child’s teacher shared through ParentSquare. After your conference, be sure to stop by the library to greet our specialist teachers, and take a moment outside to write your child an encouraging message with sidewalk chalk.

Please tell your children I’ve missed them, and can’t wait to see their smiling faces, soon!
Warmly,

~Tamara

Family Engagement Conferences

Because we value our relationship with you, we want to start the year with Family Engagement Conferences. Your child is very much a part of this conference as we work together to launch the year in a positive way!

This week you should have received a ParentSquare message from your child’s teacher with a link to sign up for a conference. If you did not receive this, please call the school to schedule your conference (425) 366-2800.

Class Placement

Our staff uses a collaborative process to create balanced and equitable classrooms at every level. Teams worked together in the spring to form classes. As a part of this process we consider the following: parent input, student performance, behavior patterns, balanced boy/girl ratios, special needs of students, balanced abilities in the classroom, staff observations/input, class size equalization, compatibility of students etc... As you can imagine, it is a very challenging and involved process. It is natural that all students and families are hoping for a certain teacher, or certain friend in class. Please understand that at this point making changes creates a domino effect and results in less productive learning environments all around.

To find out which teacher your child will have this year, please log in to ParentSquare. If you need any help with ParentSquare, you can find helpful resources on the district ParentSquare Support Page. If you haven’t downloaded the ParentSquare app, now is a great time to do that.

Student Transportation

To streamline our daily dismissal, we are requesting all families confirm their daily transportation of how their students will be going home for the duration of the 2025-2026 school year. This will not only assist in efficiency but will also promote the safety and security of our students, families and staff.

We will send students home per the chosen method by default. If there are any changes, a parent/guardian must call ahead or send a note to the office indicating a temporary change in transportation, we will not accept verbal communication from the student. If you need to make a permanent change to your child’s transportation, please contact office staff in person or by calling 425-366-2800.

Students are not allowed to ride the bus home with friends unless it is pre-arranged with our office staff. Please note that space on buses is extremely limited and guest rider passes will only be issued on a first come first served basis. All requests are subject to review.

Please complete the Endeavour 2025-26 Transportation form as soon as possible. Paper forms are also available in our office.

Pictures for P.E.

Ms. Love and Mr. Norman are seeking photos of Endeavour Athletes being active over the summer to feature throughout the school year on their gymnasium bulletin board! These can be any activity your child was involved in this summer, i.e hiking, biking, swimming, a team sport, etc.

If you are interested and have a picture you would like to share, please send it to school with your child, or simply email it to Ms. Love or Mr. Norman.

Thanks!
Ms. Love and Mr. Norman
