THANK YOU!
YOU made a difference for teachers last week

We received nearly 1,800 messages for certificated staff last week from families, staff and (best yet) students! The messages were printed on district-created postcards (pictured) and delivered to schools on Thursday. Some were funny and others heartfelt, but all helped teachers of many different kinds feel appreciated.

If you submitted a message to a staff member, thank you so much for taking the time!

FAMILY SAFETY WEBINAR
Save the date - May 29, 6 p.m.

Can you spot a scam before it's too late? Can your children? Each year, many people fall victim to fraudulent calls, emails, social media posts, and more. The number and types of scams have increased over the years and it is important to know how to protect yourself from them as well as your children, especially if they have access to the Internet, social media, etc. Join Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency representative Alexander Salazar and district leaders to gain tips on how you and your family can protect yourselves from online risks. Watch for the Zoom link coming soon!

NEW WEBSITE COMING JULY 1

The district's current website vendor was acquired by another company about a year ago. Faced with a choice to upgrade to the new company's website platform or select a new one, the district selected ParentSquare's website called SmartSites. We have been gathering feedback from students, families and staff in the creation of the new website, and are working to build the new site with consistency and accessibility and in mind. The new website will launch July 1 and we are confident it will be a better user experience for all. Watch for more updates next month!
